Wine52 is a boozy subscription service (the best kind of subscription service!) in the UK that delivers the tastiest wines from around the world. I worked with them for some of their Aussie wines, coming up with an illustration and a name to represent each wine that were both playful and sophisticated.

The Verdelho & Viognier features a Black Swan, which was used as a metaphor in the UK for something impossible before they were discovered in Australia. An Australian Ibis is used on the Cabernet Sauvignon, the ibis is also known as a bin chicken here and is the ultimate cheeky Aussie icon, refusing to give up their city territory. Very rebellious!
